Championship Information

PLEASE NOTE: All swimmers that would like to participate in championships must prove that they are a resident of Framingham. For those attending the championship meet, proof must be submitted to Joey by Monday July 5th. Please see the residency proof information page for more details about what is acceptable proof. Non Framingham residents are not able to participate.

Beginning this summer, teams will only attend 1 Championship meet. There will be a blue Championship Meet binder by the stairs at practice throughout the season. If you cannot attend Championships, please let the coaching staff know immediately by marking it down in this binder.

This is a trial-finals meet, meaning if an individual or relay places top 6 in the preliminaries (morning session), then the individual or relay will swim again in the finals session. All relays will make it back to the finals, unless disqualified, because there are only 6 teams competing. There is a ½ hour break and ½ hour warm up between the preliminaries and the finals. The meet is not scored until the finals session begins. .

Date: Saturday August 7th, @ Newton, check-in at 7:00 AM
9:00 AM start time, 4:00 PM finish

Bus will leave at 6:30 AM, from Bowditch Field, for both meets, ONE WAY ONLY

WHAT TO BRING:

1. chairs
2. sleeping bags & blankets
3. healthy snacks & drinks
4. tents (everyone stays out of the sun)
5. sunscreen
6. team suit and team apparel

We sit on a field and in the sun all day, so it is very important that you do everything you can to stay hydrated, comfortable, and out of the sun. It is usually a long and hot day, so please plan in advance so that you can swim your best!
