Regional Championship Information

Please see qualifying times for Regional meets. Those below the cut time standards will swim at B Regionals, and those above will swim at A Regionals.

Regional Cut-Off Times

There will be a binder available at practice throughout the season that will highlight those who have qualified for the A Regionals so that parents and swimmers can know which meet they will be attending. If you cannot attend one of the meets, you must let Joey know immediately.

B Regionals: Saturday, August 1st @ Dedham, 8:30 AM start time, 1:00 PM finish
A Regionals: Saturday August 8th, @ Newton, 9:00 AM start time, 3:30 PM finish

Check-in for all swimmers by 7:20 AM for both meets

WHAT TO BRING:

  1. chairs
  2. sleeping bags & blankets
  3. healthy snacks & drinks
  4. tents (everyone stays out of the sun)
  5. sunscreen
  6. team suit and team apparel

At both meets, we sit on the field and in the sun all day, so it is very important that we do everything we can to stay hydrated, comfortable, and out of the sun! They can be long and hot days, so we all need to plan in advance so that we can swim our best!

A Regionals:
This is a trial-finals meet, meaning if an individual or relay places top 6 in the preliminaries (morning session), then the individual or relay will swim again in the finals session. There is a ½ hour break and ½ hour warm up between the preliminaries and the finals. The meet is not scored until the finals session begins.

Walpoleswimteam.com has available A & B Regional results from 2006 and 2007. Swimindex.com also has results available from summer 2005 and earlier.
