Hello,

 

Great first practice! As mentioned and emailed out already, we will be moving people around in practices and between practices this week to make sure that everyones needs are being met.

 

We have a few of the green team towels left over from last summer. We will not be ordering them again this summer. They are $15. We will have them with us at practice...please see one of the coaches at practice tonight or tomorrow if you would like one. You can email to reserve one. First come, first serve.

 

 

1. Please make sure that you get a copy of the team handbook. There will be copies by the pool stairs at practice. I gave a brief overview of everything in it...please read it when you have a chance.

 

2. Swimmers must stay out of the hallway area at Keefe tech during practices (unless sitting with a parent). If someone is waiting for a sibling, please make sure they stay in the stands. Safety is very important and we do not want children left unattended in the lobby area.

 

3. Meets - please use the white binder to let us know if you are NOT attending a meet. The meet schedule is going to change and I will get the updated schedule out to you by the end of next week (the league is changing it). Meets will be on the same days, but location may change. We currently only have the first time trial meet available in the binder. Please let us know ASAP if you are unable to attend time trials on saturday june 12th. If there is no response then we assume you are attending.

 

4. Communication is very important. I'd like to have all parents and swimmers on the team distribution list. Please contact me with additional email addresses. Please check the website often for updates: framinghamswimteam.org

 

5. Our most competitive dual meets are on Tuesday July 20th and Thursday July 29th. Our championship meets are on July 31st and August 7th. Many of our families plan other activities and vacations around these events, and we thank you in advance for doing your best to be there.

 

6. Apparel orders are due by Tuesday June 8th. Please give your order and payment (cash only) to one of the coaches at practice.

 

7. We will begin using fins by the end of next week. Order at swim2000.com if needed.

 

8. All swimmers will receive a free team t-shirt. Please let us know what size your child wears by marking it on the t-shirt sizing sheet by the stairs. If nothing is marked down, we will be guessing on a size and unable to exchange it.

 

9. Our team suit fitting is next Monday. Please arrive early if possible. Team suits should only be worn during competition (not practice). They will have practice suits available to buy on Monday as well.
